Morag Hutcheon FRSA
Founder and CEOBritish Female Inventor of the Year 2006. 30+ years across business consulting, design and innovation for global corporations. Founded Oomph to change the fuel-filling paradigm for EVs.
Founded in 2020 by Morag Hutcheon FRSA, Oomph EV designs and manufactures the mobile DC chargers and battery energy storage units that fleets need to electrify before the grid catches up.
Morag Hutcheon founded Oomph after the experience of waiting twelve weeks for a home charger to be installed and watching the EV transition stall on the same problem at every depot, dealership and service yard. Fixed chargers are infrastructure. Infrastructure is slow.
Oomph builds the alternative: mobile DC chargers and battery energy storage units that drop into a depot in days, not months. POWERSTREAM goes off-grid. POWERLINK gives any 3-phase supply a 60kW DC output. Both are designed and manufactured in Cambridgeshire.
We are part of Cambridge Cleantech, recognised as a Tech Nation Rising Star and a double winner at the Cambridge SME Awards. Our units are in service with NHS ambulance trusts, aviation ground operations and OEM workshops.
